IOEMA’s approach to lit services is built around choice, neutrality and ecosystem delivery.

To preserve our open and neutral position, IOEMA will not seek to compete directly with customers and partners by offering a closed, captive lit-services model on our own system. Instead, we are developing a partner ecosystem and marketplace through which customers can access a range of lit-service providers and associated equipment vendors to build the solution that best fits their needs.

This model allows customers to select the right balance of performance, control, resilience, commercial structure and vendor architecture, while benefiting from IOEMA’s underlying subsea infrastructure, operational standards and transparent delivery model.

The marketplace approach is intended to support:

• Managed Optical Fibre Network solutions
• 400GE services from launch where supported
• 800GE services as ecosystem capability is enabled
• Subsea-on-Demand (in development)

By separating neutral infrastructure provision from partner-delivered lit solutions, IOEMA can maintain alignment with customers and partners while supporting a broader and more adaptable service environment.
